2 bananas, ripe (mashed)
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
1/2 tsp salt
1 extra-large egg
1 1/4 cups whole milk
2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
2 tsp pure vanilla extract
1/2 cup chocolate chips
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Grease 2 doughnut pans well.
- Into a large mixer bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. In a small bowl, whisk together the egg, milk, melted butter, and vanilla. Stir the wet mixture into the dry ingredients until just combined.
- Pour in mashed banana and stir for another 1 minute on medium speed. Then pour in chocolate chips and stir for another minute till all ingredients are combined and batter is smooth.
- Pipe the batter into the baking pans. Bake for 12-15 minutes. Allow to cool for 5 minutes, then tap the donuts out onto a sheet pan. We’re working on the thickness of these but they are delicious!
