Hole in 1 with these donuts! They are super easy to make and super soft. The crumb is so delicious. Perfect for a breakfast treat.

Ingredients

  • Banana Donuts:
  • * 2 ripe bananas mashed or blended
    * 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
    * 1 egg
    * 1 tsp vanilla extract
    * 1 cup all-purpose flour
    * 1/2 cup light brown sugar
    * 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
    * 1/2 tsp cinnamon
    * 1/2 tsp salt

  • Brown Sugar Swirl:
  • * 1/3 cup brown sugar
    * 1 tsp cinnamon

  • Crumb:
  • * 1/3 cup brown sugar
    * 1/3 cup flour
    * 1 tsp cinnamon
    * 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted

  • Maple Glaze:
  • * 1/2 cup powder sugar
    * 2 tbsp milk
    * 1 tbsp maple syrup

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease donut pan or line a muffin pan. Blend bananas and add to a medium bowl. Add melted butter, egg and vanilla extract and combine all together.
  • In a separate bowl mix together flour, brown sugar, baking powder, cinnamon and salt. Add dry ingredients to wet and combine till smooth.
  • Pour half of brown sugar swirl mix into donut batter and fold in with spatula. Pipe donut mix into donut pan or muffin pan, filling 3/4 the way full. Sprinkle remaining brown sugar swirl mix on top of each donut.
  • Make crumb by combining all crumb ingredients together in a small bowl. Sprinkle on top of donuts. Bake for 10 minutes. Pop out on cooling rack. Make glaze by mixing all glaze ingredients into a small bowl. Put glaze in pipping bag and drizzle over donuts. Enjoy.
